Halloween Half  Term 5 Things To Do With The Kids

So there is loads going on this half term to keep your little and not so little ones entertained. I have put together a few of of them on here, some free and some with a charge.

How about getting your kids creative this half term by making there own bat finger puppet to take away and scare there friends with? for free read on for more information.

Hancock Museum

This half term The Hancock Museum is letting your kids make finger puppets of bats to take away for spooky fun this Halloween.


The Hancock Museum is also helping the declining population of hedgehogs this coming Monday 24th Oct 2016 build your own hedgehog house so they can hibernate in safety this winter. Materials are supplied however boxes are limited to one per family £6 fee for this one here is the link.


Or What about making a halloween mask at The Hancock Museum This coming Tuesday 25th Oct 2016 11 – 3pm  again completely free and no booking needed for more information click the link below.


Kirkley Hall

Are you kids animal crazy how about a half term adventure and be a zoo keepers helper! cost £30 You can book between 1-5 days open to 5- 8 then 9-15 year olds, lunch is included, here is the link for more information.



Laing Art Gallery

Calling all 7- 10 year old budding artists, this could be for you!

Get ready to have fun and make new memories?  This event runs from Wednesday 26th Oct 2016 till Friday 28th Oct

Times: 10am – 3pm (early drop-off available from 9:30am and late pick up is available until 4pm)

Cost: £60* (an additional charge of £15 applies if participating in Explore Arts Award*). Booking is essential. Call 0191 2781611


Stephenson Railway Museum

Is your child mad about trains well this half term the railway museum has a couple of events you might be interested in. Based in North Shields the Stephenson railway museum offers on Wednesday 24th Oct 2016 for 11am -3 pm a free drop in session although a donation is welcome!

Let the kids imaginations run wild and let them design and create there very own super mode of transport. After why not take in a story in the cosy surroundings in the parcel van?.

Then on Friday 28th Oct 2016 for 11am – 3pm same free but donations welcome

The museum are doing a BIG DRAW of a train so they want them to get involved helping using track patterns different shapes and experiment with them sounds fun. Then after as they do a story in the cosy setting of the parcel van.

Newburn Activity Centre

Holding events all week for the kids out there that have a sporty side. Age ranges between 3 – 7 then 8 – 16 years

Monday events include trampolining, art and crafts, archery and climbing.

Tuesday events include Go karts, climbing and bouncy castle.
